Speedwell Kia's Windscreens Go Digital
Speedwell Kia is an authorised Kia dealership with locations in Exeter and Newton Abbot. The business offers a wide range of new and approved used Kia vehicles, supported by servicing, repairs, finance, and Motability services.
Managing vehicle pricing and information across two busy dealerships requires a system that can be updated quickly while keeping displays accurate and consistent.
The Challenge
Speedwell Kia was looking for a digital windscreen display solution that would replace paper price cards while giving the dealership more control over the appearance of its vehicle displays whilst allowing control of multi sites from one location.
The dealership wanted branded display templates, centralised management across both sites, and a straightforward installation process with minimal installation time.

The Solution
AutoTalker supplied a Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) package consisting of:
- Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) displays
- Sun visor hanger mounts
- Two wireless access points, one for each dealership
- AutoTalker software licences
- Integration via API to their vehicle data
Working with the Speedwell Kia management team, AutoTalker developed a branded display template that matched the dealership’s identity. The final design used a narrow typeface, allowing the vehicle price to be displayed more prominently while keeping the layout clean and easy to read.
Installation
To simplify installation, both wireless access points were tested and pre-configured before delivery.
One access point was installed at each dealership by Speedwell with just a Cat5 POE cable required for full functionality, providing coverage for vehicles displayed in the showroom and on the forecourt. AutoTalker’s multi branch functionality allows both sites to be managed from a single account while maintaining separate vehicle stock and Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) displays where required.

AutoTalker delivered half a day of on-site training at one dealership. After the dealership manager set up the AutoTalker app, members of the administration and preparation teams connected to the dealership by scanning the AutoTalker QR quick onboarding process.
Using Rapid Mode, staff paired each Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) displays by scanning the vehicle registration plate followed by the display. The display was then attached to the vehicle’s sun visor and automatically updated with the correct pricing and vehicle information. Where vehicles had not yet been assigned a registration plate, staff used AutoTalker’s text search function to locate the vehicle before pairing the display.
Once paired, staff could re-use the display template whenever required on any further vehicles.
Following the initial installation and training, the first dealership completed its move to Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) pricing within a day. The Speedwell Kia team then installed and configured the second dealership independently using the same process without any assistance or training from AutoTalker.
The Result
Speedwell Kia now manages Digital Vehicle Pricing (DVP) displays across both dealerships through a single AutoTalker platform.
The branded templates provide a consistent appearance across every vehicle, while updates can be managed centrally to keep pricing and information current.
The built in QR codes also provide an additional way for customers to engage with vehicles on the forecourt, allowing them to access more information, book test drives, and make enquiries by scanning the display with their mobile phone.
